One of my former colleagues and friend now retired from the Canadian Coast Guard, Peter Dalton (aka Captain) has invited me to accompany him on a sailing trip initially from Halifax, to Picton ON. aboard his sailboat the S/V JAFTICA. This is a chronicle of the journey plus other relevant and irrelevant musings and observations. Though not completed - we only got to Pictou NS. - it was a great experience.

Shofeered from the Airport
Arrived at midnight last night, and was shofeered from the airport. Skipper Peter and first mate Wayne are driving and riding shotgun respectively. Let the fun begin.
